ip-Hop Rumors: Is Lil’ Wayne’s “Dedication 4″ Mixtape Being Pushed Back Again?

Lil Wayne

Today is the official release date for Lil’ Wayne and DJ Drama’s highly anticipated mixtape, Dedication 4, but after searching the net for it, we noticed that it is nowhere to be found. So what’s the deal?
Just a few days ago, Weezy assured fans that it was on its way by tweeting, “D4 aug-30.” But here we are and nothing. Last night, a fan tweeted DJ Drama asking if he should stay up for the release, and Drama tweeted back saying “naw, ya’ll get some rest…lol!”

This will be the second delay of the mixtape, which had an original release date of August 15. Weezy explained that delay by telling fans that he wanted to let 2 Chainz shine. Check out what he posted on his blog, Bread Over Bed, below:

“That’s my real, real, real good homeboy right there and I refuse to put any attention on me when the spotlight, everybody’s eyes, everybody’s attention and everybody’s focus should be on my ni–a 2 Chainz’s album, Based On A T.R.U. Story. So therefore I ain’t giving you b-tches Dedication 4 yet. I’ma give it to ya’ll in another week or so. But I ain’t gonna lie, I ain’t finished that mother—er. I’ve been skating and sh–, falling and sh– and all that type of sh–, but I’ll give it to you like, next week. Stop trippin’ pimp.”
I wonder what the hold up is now? We’ll keep an eye on Li’ Wayne’s Twitter and let you know if he speaks on the delay.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Beats By Dre Coming Out With An iPhone Killer?

Dr. Dre and Jimmy_Iovine

Rumors are swirling that Beats Electronics, the company owned by Dr. Dre and Interscope big wig, Jimmy Iovine, are creating a smart phone that will rival the heralded iPhone – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Beats is allegedly going head-to-head with Apple’s product portfolio and plans to launch their own TV with Beats, a service similar to Apple TV, and “Daisy,” a service that will work similar to iTunes.

According to Boy Genius Report, Beats has partnered up with Samsung to create a “TV with Beats connect” that will work integrate seamlessly with their other products, similar to Apple products.
The new products are still in the planning stages, but the specs are done. Dr. Dre is getting that paper! I just hope they don’t charge an arm and a leg for the phone. Do you think any of Apple’s loyal customers will be making the switch to Beats?
